Daaibooi Beach is located right next to the Oasis Coral Estate Beach, Dive & Wellness Resort. This beach is unique because of its unspoiled surroundings. BBQs are organized here regularly, especially on Sundays when this beach is mainly visited by local families coming together to celebrate the weekend. There is a beach bar where you can get drinks and snacks. This beach bar is run by Kees, a former marine who fell in love with Curaçao and never left. The special thing about Daaibooi Beach is that not many people come to this sandy beach. The calm and intimate atmosphere make it special. No wonder the locals of the island love to come here. The beach is accessible for free. The many yellow Bananaquit birds who happily fly around here are truly remarkable. You will also find many iguanas around the beach. They look almost prehistoric, and while you should be careful with wild iguanas, these iguanas are used to visitors.
Facilities at Daaibooi Beach
Daaibooi is freely accessible and is open 24 hours. With that said, it is not advisable to stay here too long after the sun goes down. When Kees closes, everyone goes home, and it gets very quiet on the beach.
On the beach, you can rent the famous parasols made of palm leaves, the so-called palapas and a comfortable sun lounger to go with it. There are also showers and changing rooms. It is a great place to snorkel, but we recommend renting your snorkeling gear at our resort so that you do not run the risk of getting a defective snorkel.
